Daily Bruin
For the Daily Bruin, I designed newspaper layouts and infographics. As a layout designer, I used Adobe InDesign, and followed Daily Bruin standards to create layouts that fit-in cohesively with the rest of the paper. I was allowed to take some creative liberties with photo pages, and one of my designs for an Arts and Entertainment spread won first place for Best Newspaper Photo Page/Spread (Division I) for the 2023 CMA Pinnacle Awards Individual Finalist in Best of Collegiate Design.
Below, you can see some of the infographics I designed for various stories across sections of the newspaper. These were illustrated and designed using Adobe Illustrator. For the most part, I had creative freedom to conceptualize my designs; however, some writers had specific visions for me to carry out. To read the accompanying stories, click on the images below.
